The Four (one male and three female) Ward Councilors represent the ANC, one (female) represent COPE and two (1 male and one female) represent DA. The Mayor is also the Speaker of the Council.

Council resolutions are taken at ordinary and special meetings. Ordinary meetings are informed by recommendations made by its (working committees) committees. The council could not hold a meeting per quarter as per service delivery and budget implementation plan (SDBIP).
